Recent Activity

My recent activity has seen me buying and selling property all over Scotland from Shetland in the north to the very edge of country in the Borders.

Every day I deal with all types of property matters from the purchase of a large country house or a first-time buyer's flat. Typical daily work will cover purchase and sale transactions, security transactions, transfers of title, some commercial property matters and Land Registration issues.

I also deal with complex “voluntary registrations” of titles in the Land Register as this simplifies future transactions over complex or scattered estates, helping to reduce costs when you sell your property in the future.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is for a global relocation services company. Here I help with the house-moving process for company employees and their families from around the world, both moving to and leaving from Scotland.

I have been a contributor to “The Herald”, “The Sunday Times” and other newspapers where I write about property and general legal matters.
