Ken Long has many years of experience in private equity work and is described by the independent Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession as “a sensible, pragmatic lawyer who offers tailor-made advice.”

Ken always seeks to achieve a “win – win” solution between the private equity investor and the business seeking investment. His practical streak means he strives to find solutions to all those niggly issues which arise in transactions and which can, if mismanaged, become deal breakers rather than deal makers.

His philosophy is to advise clients so they have a clear understanding of the path to completing the transaction and what should and should not be conceded. Ken is head of WJM’s Corporate team.

Susan Hoyle is a vastly experienced corporate tax lawyer who works with private equity investors and business angel syndicates during transactions to ensure that tax positions are maximised.

She is experienced in all types of corporate and commercial transactions.

Susan is rated highly by her clients: in Chambers Client Guide to the Legal Profession: Susan is rated in the top category in Scotland for corporate tax advice.

Martin O'Neill rounds out the team, providing and expertise to Ken and Susan.
