WJM Partners Angus MacLeod and Liam Entwistle scored a double when they both featured on BBC Scotland’s flagship news programme, Newsdrive.

Angus spoke on the intellectual property aspects surrounding the debate around plain cigarette packaging. His appearance was prompted by the BBC needing an intellectual property expert to comment on the position taken by one of the big tobacco companies - that plain packaging will interfere with their human rights to enjoy and exploit their intellectual property (in the form of their brands) so if plain packaging is introduced they will have a claim against the Government in compensation.

Later in the programme Liam brought his employment law experience to a discussion on ‘National Sickie Day’. The first Monday in February has been dubbed ‘National Sickie Day’ by the press, as it’s the day of the year which traditionally sees the highest number of workers calling in sick. Liam spoke about the impact of sickness absences on employers – and what they can do about it.”
