Roddy Harrison, a private client specialist, has joined Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP as Partner.

Roddy is a strong addition to the firm’s private client team, bringing considerable expertise in high level tax and estate planning.

Ranked Band 3 in Chambers, Roddy formerly headed up BTO Solicitors’ private client team for 16 years before becoming Partner at Dentons in 2018.

He boasts extensive experience in a wide variety of private client matters, including contentious and non-contentious, tax and estate planning, as well as wills and power of attorney.

Ian Macdonald, Head of Private Client at WJM, said: “We’re excited to have Roddy on board – his significant experience in all aspects of private client work make him a fantastic asset to our team. The private client and wealth management areas of the business remained strong throughout last year and we look forward to working alongside Roddy as we further strengthen our offering in 2021.”

Roddy said: “I’m proud to be a part of the WJM team. The firm’s private client offering is very highly regarded, and the team is well-known for its excellence. Private client work is a major focus for the firm, and I’m very keen to explore new opportunities and continue to grow this side of the business even further.”

Roddy is principally based in Edinburgh, and will be working with the private client team across WJM’s four other Scottish offices, spanning Glasgow, Dunfermline, Inverness and Dunblane.
