WJM Add New Speaker to Conference Line-up

Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie’s regular conference on the Renewables sector has added a new speaker to its already formidable line up.

Michelle Howell, who is the senior Renewable Energy Investment Fund (REIF) manager with the Scottish Investment Bank, with a focus on community renewables, will join confirmed speakers Louise Wilson of crowdfunding platform Abundance Generation, Melanie MacRae of Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Ross Jones of Local Energy Scotland and WJM’s own Graham Bell at the event at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness on 16 June.  WJM’s Fraser Gillies, Andy McFarlane and Angus MacLeod will also be hosting interactive break-out sessions.

Head of WJM’s Inverness office, Angus MacLeod, commented:  "We are delighted that our Renewables Conference continues to grow every year – this is the fourth holding of the event and it continues to draw influential players in the renewables sector.  It’s great to be able to welcome Michelle as a speaker, alongside our panel of industry experts.”

Angus continued “Our Conference is becoming more and more influential, and draws delegates from across the sector.  This year’s focus is on communities working with   development or funding partners to achieve their project goals.  Michelle and Louise will be able to provide the funder’s perspective, which we hope will be beneficial to our delegates who are looking to get their projects up and running.  We are also pleased that we are able to continue our tradition of offering the Conference for free. On top of everything else it’s a terrific networking opportunity”.

Angus also said that the Conference is almost fully booked although extra spaces have been made available, which makes pre-booking essential.
