Renewable Energy Takes Centre Stage as WJM's Popular Seminar Returns to Glasgow

Renewables experts from Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP are set to discuss the future of the renewable energy sector at a highly-anticipated seminar being held in Glasgow this November.

A range of key industry speakers will deliver valuable insights on a host of important issues centering around the event’s theme - ‘Repower, Recharge, Rethink’ - at the firm’s annual Renewables Seminar for 2022 at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on Thursday 10 November.

Set to be dynamic and insightful, the conference comes one year after the previous seminar held in Glasgow during COP26 on the official ‘Day of Energy’. More than 100 renewables professionals from across the country gathered at the event where topics such as the green recovery, NPF4, and the Government’s net-zero targets were discussed.

At this year’s event, panelists will explore the repowering of wind farms and turbines, battery storage, and the ways in which industry players must rethink their approach to future-proofing sites.

Andy McFarlane, Head of Renewables at WJM, said: “This year’s event is set to raise some important discussions around the future of Scotland’s energy sector and the ways in which investors can take action in the role of fighting climate change.

“Some of the issues being discussed has moved on significantly since COP26 and our event provides an ideal platform for speakers to discuss important subjects such battery storage, energy security and updating wind projects. This is one of the most important events for those working in Scotland’s renewables sector and we look forward to coming together to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the future of the industry.”

WJM’s annual seminar will be held on Thursday 10 November at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow. Places are free and can be booked by emailing events@wjm.co.uk
