Local Group Publish Book about History of Dunblane Cathedral as WJM Make Contribution

A book detailing the history of Dunblane Cathedral’s stained-glass windows has been published, partly thanks to the help of WJM Dunblane.

The office has made a £200 contribution to the Society of Friends of Dunblane Cathedral as they drafted a new hardback book on the history of the town’s iconic cathedral and its windows.

Dunblane Cathedral’s stained-glass windows were installed between the 1890s and 1960s and are much admired by all who visit the building, including experts in the field of stained-glass history and production.

Reaffirming the company’s commitment to supporting the area’s economy, WJM Dunblane gave its backing to the group as they look to shine a light on the cathedral’s history.

Mirella Marchini, Partner at WJM, said: “This is such an exciting project for the local community and we were more than happy to support it with our donation.

“The work that has gone into the book means the finished product is something everyone in Dunblane can be proud of, much like the stained-glass windows of the magnificent cathedral.”

Edited by Ewing Wallace, the book has been published in time for Christmas and is titled ‘The Stained Glass of Dunblane Cathedral’.

WJM Dunblane has a long history of supporting community initiatives in the local area through sponsorships, fundraising and outreach work.
