WJM takes Home Private Client Team of the Year Accolade at Scottish Legal Awards
Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP were awarded Private Client Team of the Year at the Scottish Legal Awards, marking a significant achievement for the team as they celebrate their first win in this category.
The team have had an impressive year; setting a new legal precedent in a landmark test case, providing vital input to the upcoming Trust & Succession (Scotland) Bill 2024, and expanding the team through strategic hires and promotions.
Commenting on the award, Fraser Gillies, managing partner at WJM, said: “It’s incredibly rewarding to have our team’s hard work acknowledged with this win.
“Over the past year our team has continuously delivered innovative and impactful solutions for our clients, winning a couple of landmark cases that will set a new legal precedent in the sector.
“We’re proud of the expertise our team brings to every case, and this recognition motivates us to continue pushing boundaries and achieving great results for our clients.”
WJM has been on a significant growth trajectory over the past decade, across its five offices, in part driven by a series of mergers and acquisitions and marked by its collaboration with Irwin Mitchell in 2023.
The Scottish Legal Awards, founded in 2003, highlight outstanding achievements within Scotland's legal industry. An independent panel of experts evaluates and selects the winners. The event, held in Glasgow, also raises funds for the LawScot Foundation, which aids future legal professionals, and It’s Good 2 Give, a charity that supports young cancer patients and their families.
