WJM Raises Over £1,100 for Mikeysline Through

Our Inverness team recently completed a three-month fundraising challenge for Mikeysline, a Highlands-based mental health charity, as part of the “Cup of Kindness” initiative.

The fundraising efforts included a fun-filled sports day, a bake sale, and a grand raffle that saw generous support from contacts across the North of Scotland. In total, the team raised over £1,100 after the firm matched the funds collected by the team.

The campaign began with WJM’s in-house bake sale in September, and was followed by a dramatic sports day in October, featuring crowd favourites such as “Blowing the Wee Furry Ball Through Lego Obstacles” and “Paper Plane Throwing,” bringing laughter and, mostly, friendly competition to the office.

The initiative culminated in a Grand Raffle, offering exciting prizes such as an afternoon tea with prosecco at the Kingsmill Hotel, a shooting experience from Cawdor Clay Pigeon Club, several fine single malts, and more.

Marion Urquhart, who led the WJM fundraising activities, said: “Mikeysline provides invaluable support to people across the Highlands, and it has been a privilege to contribute to their cause. The enthusiasm from our team and our partners at Beechwood made this a truly special experience. We’re so pleased with what we were able to accomplish together.”

Allana Stables, Bee the Change Manager at Mikeysline, expressing her gratitude, said: “The funds raised through initiatives like the Cup of Kindness are essential to the continuation of vital services we provide locally. WJM’s involvement has been inspiring, and their contribution to our grass roots charity will make a meaningful difference for many across our community.”

With the Cup of Kindness now being passed on to the next company, Tulloch Homes, WJM is proud to have made a positive impact and to support Mikeysline’s critical work in mental health services throughout the Highlands, Islands, and Moray.
