WJM Legal Expert Announced as Ambassador for Highland Renewables

A new initiative between tourism and renewables sectors in the region, Highland Renewables, has announced Partner & Head of Inverness office at Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP, Angus MacLeod, as an ambassador for the programme.
In a world first, the area’s tourism and renewables sectors have come together to form a mutually-beneficial union that will help attract a new generation of tourist-seeking more sustainable destinations.
Highland Renewables aims to create a platform where key stakeholders from tourism and energy can come together, aligning their efforts to drive sustainable growth and development in the Highlands.
As part of his role as Ambassador, Angus brings a wealth of experience. WJM’s Inverness office forms a key part of its Renewables team for Scotland, so Angus understands where challenges can arise between the two sectors, and can offer his expertise in finding a solution that accommodates the needs of all.
Angus expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating: "Bringing renewables and tourism closer together in the Highlands has the potential to prove the maxim that ‘the whole is greater than the sum of the parts’.
“Sustainable communities and a thriving economy can go hand-in-hand if we strike the right balance and get the interactions right. Indeed, for the future of the Highlands & Islands, they must. My colleagues and I at WJM are excited at what’s lies ahead - there is hugely important work to be done.”
WJM, with its commitment to sustainability and community development, is proud to support Angus MacLeod in this ambassadorial role, further solidifying the firm's dedication to driving positive change in the Highlands.
