Magnus Mackay Recognised as ‘RISING STAR’ in Influential Legal Guide

Magnus Mackay, Partner in Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP’s Inverness team, has been recognised in the influential Legal 500 UK 2023 Guide as a ‘Rising Star’ within his field for the second year running, after being recommended by his clients and peers for his expertise and quality of work.
Joining WJM in 2021, having specialised in private client work including wills, estate planning, inheritance tax, trusts and powers of attorney for the last 14 years, Magnus’ ranking means he has been acknowledged in the high-profile guide to the UK’s top legal firms and solicitors.
To be included in the Legal 500, firms undergo rigorous analysis which includes interviews and feedback from clients and professional peers which is reviewed by a panel of experts.
Speaking of the accolade, Magnus said: “I was delighted to be ranked within this prestigious list. It’s a tremendous endorsement of the work we do here at WJM and a testament to the outstanding support we receive from our teams and the firm as a whole.”
The full-service law firm has retained its high-tier ranking across the board, with a number of its solicitors having been ranked in the annual guide of go-to lawyers for several years running.
A total of 17 of WJM's lawyers have this year been named on the highly recommended list within their respective fields for their expert knowledge and strength within its various core practice areas.
Angus MacLeod, Head of WJM Inverness, said: “I speak on behalf of the whole team when I say I’m incredibly proud of Magnus’ achievement in being ranked in this impressive list. Magnus always strives to achieve positive outcomes for his clients and he’s a vital part of the team. This accolade is truly well deserved.
“We’d also like to offer a thank you to all of our valued clients and professional contacts for helping our talented team members to be recognised in the Legal 500 listing once again for the quality of professionalism that our firm provides.”
