Come and See our Experts on the ICFGF Legal Desk
Two of our leading experts will share legal insights and give advice at upcoming Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport (ICFGF) Legal Desk events.
The Legal Desk has been running since the beginning of the year, and as a result of its success, additional dates have been planned with a revamped new format.
The monthly events will now feature an insightful lunch-and-learn and networking session, followed by the opportunity to have a one-to-one consultation with a legal expert.
WJM is one of two firms lending support to this brilliant initiative designed to support businesses, organisations and individuals across the region, with Brodies supporting on alternate months.
On October 23, Angus MacLeod, Head of our Inverness office, will host a session on the theme ‘IP and Its Place in Contracts’. He’ll compare the ways in which IP can be a hidden trap or a powerful asset, and he’ll share tips on how to protect your IP when you’re sharing ideas – ultimately helping you to protect your innovation.
On December 11, Partner John Grant will discuss ‘Hot Topics in Employment Law’ in a 20-minute presentation that looks at the most pressing developments as societal, economic and technological changes continue to shape this area of law. He’ll be exploring everything from flexible working requests to evolving case law on discrimination and whistleblowing.
Both sessions will take place at UHI House, Old Perth Road, beginning with presentations and networking from 1pm followed by one-to-one appointments between 2pm and 3.30pm.
For the full schedule, to register for an event, and request a 121 appointment if required, all you need to do is register here.
