WJM Annual Renewables Seminar

To show our commintment to renewable energy law, we host the annual WJM Renewables Seminar. This year's seminar, Reaching The Targets 2030, was held on Thursday 9 November.

Speakers at the event included David Bell from David Bell Planning, Patrick Smart from RES, William Hazell and Kai Beale from Ramboll, and Fraser Gillies, Managing Partner and Head of Planning at WJM. The event was chaired by Andy McFarlane, who heads up WJM’s team of renewables experts. Morag Watson from Scottish Renewables, Neil Douglas from BVG Associates and Nicola Martin of WJM joined the panel for the Q&A.

Regarded as one of the most insightful and dynamic events of the year for renewables, the event explored what the industry can do to achieve the Scottish Government’s ambitious targets of deploying 20GW of onshore wind by 2030.

This year's topics included NPF4, planning, battery storage and green hydrogen, and the Scottish Onshore Wind Sector Deal.
