Putting a sound will in place is important and I help you do that.

I work with you to draw up the most effective will for your personal situation.

I aim to present you with range of options best suited to your personal legal needs and purposes, whether it be a will, a trust for a disabled family member, protection of assets on a second marriage or the most tax efficient way to transfer funds out of an estate.

I will carry out a comprehensive review of your financial and personal circumstances in order to flag up any potential issues such as inheritance tax liability or assets which need protecting.

At a very difficult time for families, I help you with administering the estate of a loved one. I help guide you through this process, ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible.

The increasing number of Britons owning homes abroad has led to some interesting challenges in my work.

Many forget that when they die, their home abroad will need to be included in their UK estate. I have now dealt with several estates with assets abroad, assisting the executor to navigate the challenges of foreign legal requirements – often at odds with UK law, principle and practice.

As most of the properties were in Spain, I recently participated in an Anglo-Spanish conference held by the Law Society in London and established a number of connections - not only with Spanish lawyers, but with highly specialised Spanish legal interpreters and several of the major Spanish law firms that have now dealt with a range of issues for me, including buying and selling Spanish property and tax law in Spain.
