I have worked with a wide spectrum of clients including landlords, tenants, institutional investors, insurance companies, financial services providers, public bodies, charities, trustees and individuals on a variety of disputes.

I will use my experience gained in theses matters, alongside my knowledge and experience in dispute resolution, to help you identify the most suitable resolution method for you - be it raising Court proceedings or ADR.

Recent Activity

I have significant experience and interest in real estate disputes having advised on the interpretation of leases, the enforcement and defence of dilapidations and service charge claims, the enforcement of property rights of access and the recovery of possession/removal of illegal occupiers in particular. In 2017 I was named as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ in the field of Real Estate Disputes in Scotland in UK Legal 500.

I regularly provide advice and assistance on breach of contract and debt recovery issues and have worked in the contentious Financial Services sector assisting clients with the pursuance of corporation and VAT claims via Court proceedings and have assisted clients with the interpretation and application of their own rules and practices.

In recent years I have pursued a number of contractual and lease interpretation claims in the Commercial Court of the Court of Session with a focus on the interpretation and enforcement of dilapidation 'payment/debt' clauses. Separately I have pursued a number of commercial claims and professional negligence claims against a variety of professionals via Court processes.
