This aim of this free event is to summarise the Digital Economy Act, and its likely impact on the world of telecoms, from both an operator and a landowner perspective.
The talk will highlight the important changes being introduced by this new legislation, with a particular focus on:
- The provisions that will affect the rights of operators
- The provisions that will affect the rights of landowners
- The remedies available for both parties under the DEA

Gillian Cowie heads WJM Telecoms team and has over 20 years experience in the telecommunications sector, dealing with property aspects of network infrastructure. She is responsible for managing a team that has delivered the roll out of 2G, 3G and 4G coverage throughout the UK.
Liam Entwistle is a Partner in WJM's Conflict Resolution Group. He has wide experience of Telecoms litigation and arbitration and has a detailed understanding of the aims and needs of operators and landowners in any Telecom related dispute.
Jacqui Alleyne is an Associate in the firm's Telecoms and Commercial Property groups. She acts for mobile telecoms operators and landowners on a wide range of practical and legal issues involved in the management, consolidation and acquisition of telecoms infrastructure such as mast, tower and base station sites.
