I am one of the Partners heading up the firm’s Renewable Energy Team.
core skills
I mainly act for renewable energy developers in bringing their projects to completion, from the Heads of Terms stage, negotiation of the documentation, through to entering into leases, and everything in between.
I also help landowners negotiate with developers for renewable energy projects on their land.
I have been involved with projects across the renewable energy spectrum, including onshore wind (both large and small scale), biomass and hydro.
I deal with a wide ranging mix of renewable energy property work including:
1. Options.
2. Leases.
3. Planning Agreements.
4. Community Benefit Agreements.
5. Refinancing.
My background in commercial property work in both Scotland and England, including acquisitions, disposals, leasehold work, securities and development, has stood me in good stead for my renewables work, where I have specialised for the past few years.
